The chat show queen and big hitter on the Forbes Rich List, Operah Winfrey, has opened her own television network.
The network opened on 01 January 2011 and one of the first shows since its opening was ‘Oprah Presents Master Class’ and the first enrollee was none other than Jay-Z.

Master class tells the stories you’ve never heard from the people you thought you knew best. Hand-picked by Oprah Winfrey for their unique impact on the world, eight true modern masters step forward to share the greatest lessons they’ve learned along the way. In an intimate setting, they share their successes, their failures, their triumphs, disappointments and heartbreak.

Master Class offers an unprecedented first-person insight into the brilliant minds of the famous people we love, respect, and admire. First season masters include Jay-Z, Simon Cowell, Sidney Poitier, Dr. Maya Angelou, Diane Sawyer, Lorne Michaels, Dr. Condoleezza Rice and Oprah Winfrey.

This ‘documentary’, if you want to call it that, was very insightful and thoroughly enjoyable; even more so while in the process of reading Jay-Z’s book ‘Decoded’.

HOVA really opens up; he speaks at length about the deeper things such as his thoughts on Religion, learning from failures, his father leaving him at the age of 11, the impact of Rap on racial relations and more.

Enjoy.
