This week the entourage gets two Bangers Of The Week for the price of one! And both of them come courtesy of Kanye West’s Monster.

The first  is a remix of the original by New York City based collective Teachers who includes M.I.A’s fella, Benjamin Brofman. Brofman and fellow band member, Eli Bush put an interesting twist on Kanye’s hit single with grimy guitar rifts, switching up the instrumentals accompanying ‘Ye, Jay-Z and Ms Minaj’s bars.  It’s likely you’ll want to hear some more from Teachers – they haven’t released much material as yet, but head over to their soundcloud page HERE.

The second banger comes from DJ Semtex’s Radio 1 show and features Lupe Fiasco, fresh from his freestlye over H.A.M, and one of our favourite MCs reppin’ Team UK, Sway. These guys give a virtuoso performance in freestylin’. Not much else to say other than sit back and enjoy.

[BANGER OF THE WEEK] Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Villa Remix) by wearesme

This weeks banger is a brilliant remix from the Belgian producers Villa. Villa consists of 3 chaps; Francois, Thang & Fredo who continue to make a name for themselves with their remixes receiving praise from the likes of Erol Alkan and Aeroplane.

This time they take on Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ giving it bass, snares and a cool disco beats. You’ll love it.

Happy Saturday!

[BANGER OF THE WEEK] Nicki Minaj – Super Bass by wearesme

This weeks banger isn’t a new track, but it has a story behind it. ‘Super Bass’ is track that can be found on the ‘Deluxe Edition’ of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday album, which has been getting a lot of love this week.

First Taylor Swift (yes, you read correctly) rapped a few of Nicki’s bars live on radio and this was followed by a video surfacing of Selena Gomez performing a whole verse from the same track, backstage in her dressing room.

As a result, we’ve been jamming to the original all week. Check out both Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s versions along with the original below.

[BANGER OF THE WEEK] J.Cole feat. Drake – In The Morning / Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Jamie XX Remix) by wearesme

In the lead up to seeing Drizzy and J.Cole last night at the HMV Hammersmith Apoloo, naturally, we had this BIG track on repeat throughout the week. Listen and enjoy these 2 extremely talented guys on one track.

Drake and J.Cole gig aside, this incredible remix from Jamie XX is our ‘real’ banger of the week! Jamie works his magic once more on this already beautiful track from Adele, giving it a few steel drums and percussions.

BANGER OF THE WEEK: The Streets – Going Through Hell (Dot Rotten Remix) by wearesme

This weeks banger comes courtesy of South London boy Dot Rotten who jumped on The Streets new single ‘Going Through Hell’.

The original has been given a subtle dubstep beat and Rotten spits a few verses over it and sings a hook. It’s impressively put together, check it out.

Banger Of The Week : Afrojack – Replica by wearesme

This weeks banger is a brand new release from Afrojack. The track titled ‘Replica’ starts off slow and almost hypnotizing, before hitting you with heavy bass and a ‘Pon De Floor’ sample in there somewhere.

Shy FX – Raver (MJ Cole Remix)

We’re a few days late with last weeks banger so you’ll be getting 2 this week!

The legend that is Shy FX has released a new track called ‘Raver’ featuring the likes of Kano, Donae’o and Roses Gabor and MJ Cole has decided to strip back all of these vocals and replace them with synths and shattering breakbeat snares. ‘Ard.

It’s also a free download so you know the score, click the arrow!

Lyrics Born feat Sam Sparro- Coulda Woulda Shoulda

On this gloomy and somewhat depressing Friday we thought an upbeat number was a must to get everyone’s spirits up and in the mood for the weekend.

So check out this funky number from Lyrics Born called ‘Coulda Woulda Shoulda’. It might sound like an old 80’s tune but it’s not (although the Sam Sparro feature probably already gave that away).

Lyrics Born aka Tom Simura is a Japanese rapper from California and this track is taken from his brand new album ‘As U Were’ which was released last week.

Such a cool sound! And an even cooler album cover.

Ghostbusters Theme Song

Only joking! We just wanted to get you in the mood for Halloween this weekend.

Our real banger of the week is another xx related track following on from last weeks banger; this time its a brilliant new remix of a Nosaj Thing track by Jamie (from the xx). We’re big fans of Nosaj Thing and Jamie obviously is as well, returning the favour (they remixed the track ‘Islands’) with his own remix of ‘Fog’.

Nosaj Thing – Fog (Jamie XX Remix)

We’re hoping to hear this live from Jamie at the London edition of The Warehouse Project tonight!

Sander van Doorn – Intro (XX Booty Mix)

It all started as an idea that popped into Sander van Doorn’s head to enhance his live

performance. ‘Bootleg The XX’s epic ‘Intro’ and turn this acoustic guitar based anthem into a serious Dancefloor bomb’.

After massive support from the likes of Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong and David Guetta, it entered #1 in the UK buzzchart so this looks to be pretty huge indeed..
