This week the entourage gets two Bangers Of The Week for the price of one! And both of them come courtesy of Kanye West’s Monster.

The first  is a remix of the original by New York City based collective Teachers who includes M.I.A’s fella, Benjamin Brofman. Brofman and fellow band member, Eli Bush put an interesting twist on Kanye’s hit single with grimy guitar rifts, switching up the instrumentals accompanying ‘Ye, Jay-Z and Ms Minaj’s bars.  It’s likely you’ll want to hear some more from Teachers – they haven’t released much material as yet, but head over to their soundcloud page HERE.

The second banger comes from DJ Semtex’s Radio 1 show and features Lupe Fiasco, fresh from his freestlye over H.A.M, and one of our favourite MCs reppin’ Team UK, Sway. These guys give a virtuoso performance in freestylin’. Not much else to say other than sit back and enjoy.

[BANGER OF THE WEEK] Nicki Minaj – Super Bass by wearesme

This weeks banger isn’t a new track, but it has a story behind it. ‘Super Bass’ is track that can be found on the ‘Deluxe Edition’ of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday album, which has been getting a lot of love this week.

First Taylor Swift (yes, you read correctly) rapped a few of Nicki’s bars live on radio and this was followed by a video surfacing of Selena Gomez performing a whole verse from the same track, backstage in her dressing room.

As a result, we’ve been jamming to the original all week. Check out both Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s versions along with the original below.

[BANGER OF THE WEEK] J.Cole feat. Drake – In The Morning / Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Jamie XX Remix) by wearesme

J.COLE FEAT. DRAKE – IN THE MORNING

In the lead up to seeing Drizzy and J.Cole last night at the HMV Hammersmith Apoloo, naturally, we had this BIG track on repeat throughout the week. Listen and enjoy these 2 extremely talented guys on one track.

ADELE – ROLLING IN THE DEEP (JAMIE XX REMIX)

Drake and J.Cole gig aside, this incredible remix from Jamie XX is our ‘real’ banger of the week! Jamie works his magic once more on this already beautiful track from Adele, giving it a few steel drums and percussions.

BANGER OF THE WEEK: The Streets – Going Through Hell (Dot Rotten Remix) by wearesme

This weeks banger comes courtesy of South London boy Dot Rotten who jumped on The Streets new single ‘Going Through Hell’.

The original has been given a subtle dubstep beat and Rotten spits a few verses over it and sings a hook. It’s impressively put together, check it out.

Banger Of The Week : Afrojack – Replica by wearesme

This weeks banger is a brand new release from Afrojack. The track titled ‘Replica’ starts off slow and almost hypnotizing, before hitting you with heavy bass and a ‘Pon De Floor’ sample in there somewhere.
