SME Reload: [New Music] Chase and Status – Brixton Briefcase feat. Cee-Lo Green

[NEW MUSIC] Chase & Status feat. Cee-Lo Green – Brixton Briefcase by wearesme

Wow. If this song is anything to go by this album is gonna be a BEAST!

Chase & Status team up with everyone’s favourite larger than life soulman; Cee Lo Green for this Banger, with a capital B. And talking of capital B’s; the track tributes ‘saff Landan’s’ finest district, Brixton.

Here’s what the lads had to say on the collaboration: “Admittedly Cee-Lo isn’t British but he sings on a track called Brixton Briefcase, which is about London in the 80s when guys used to walk around with ghetto blasters on their shoulders. That’s what a Brixton briefcase is and Cee-Lo loved it.

“There was no ego at all. He was just like: ‘I’ll do whatever you want me to do.’ Working with him was cool.”

‘Brixton Briefcase’ will feature on the upcoming album ‘No More Idols’ set for release next week on the 31st of January. It will features likes of Plan B, Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Clare Mcguire, Tempa T as well as Cee-Lo Green.

[FRESH VIDEO] Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City by wearesme

The super cool Cee-Lo, quite appropriately, takes to the beautiful streets of NYC for his new video for the track ‘Bright Lights Bigger City’.

Further certifying his cool image, in the video he plays the role of a Mafia don dropping off a suitcase to a local club before a spot of trouble kicks off.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

The track is taken from his brand new album ‘The Lady Killer’ OUT NOW.

NEW MUSIC: 2 Kid Cudi Tracks – Scott Mescudi vs The World & Marijuana by wearesme

Interestingly titled cool collaboration with Cee Lo Green and a self explanatory track ‘Marijuana’; both taken from the new album Man On The Moon II out November 9th.
