[FRESH VIDEO] Kanye West feat. Rihanna & Kid Cudi – All Of The Lights (Alternate Version) by wearesme

“Warning: This video has been identified by Epilepsy Action to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.”

After the original video was forced to bear the above warning on YouTube, as a result of pressure from UK charity organisation Epilepsy Action; Kanye West and his team have now released a re-edit of the All Of The Lights video.

Although no better than the disappointing original, it does tease with images of Rihanna posing in a lace dress at the end of the video; as if there wasn’t already enough RiRi flesh on show to get us hot under the collar! Oh and it also won’t trigger epileptic seizures; always a plus!

[NEW MUSIC] The Glitch Mob – Drink The Sea: The Remixes Vol 1 (Download To Donate For Haiti) by wearesme

Los Angeles electro three piece Glitch Mob have announced the release of Drink The Sea: The Remixes Vol 1 & 2 in support of the Download To Donate for Haiti project. Fans can donate $10 to help rebuild Haiti and get both volumes of the piece on February 12th.

It’s one year since Haiti was devastated by a horrific earthquake that destroyed homes, killed over 250,000 people and changed life forever for hundreds of thousands of survivors. Thus, numerous artists engage themselves in donation activities.

Download to Donate for Haiti is a music subscription that supports the rebuilding effort following the January 2010 earthquake. All music is made available for free download as a thank you to donors. A $10 minimum donation is required. Access to a growing catalog of music from other artists contributing to DownloadtoDonate.org for the entire year is also granted with this donation. Donations benefit Music For Relief which supports nonprofit organizations working on the ground in Haiti.

Check out The Glitch Mob’s contribution below and visit this website to donate.

David & Goliath, Hauser Bears T-Shirt launch 10/11/10 by wearesme

Last week SME were invited to Alto nightclub in Covent Garden for the launch of David & Goliath’s new Limited Edition ‘Hauser Bear’ T-Shirts, as seen at London Fashion Week.

The collaboration between David & Goliath and Hauser Bears is all in aid of a good cause, with all proceeds from the sale of the T-Shirts going to the Hauser Bears charity.

The Hauser Bears charity are committed to the conservation of bears worldwide and particularly targets the issues of bear bile farming in South East Asia, poaching for body parts and bears trapped in the entertainment trade.

We had a great evening mingling with faces both familiar and new with DJ Ch!co on the decks doing what he does best. A goodie bag on the way out and all in aid of a good cause; what more could we ask for!

To buy the T-Shirts head over to ChicksRule.co.uk.

[SNAPS] Willow & Jayden Smith join the Buy Life campaign for Keep A Child Alive by wearesme

Willow and Jayden Smith are the newest recruits for Alicia Keys’ Keep A Child Alive campaign. Willow and Jayden are pictured above (looking like true models may we add) wearing the ‘Buy Life’ T-Shirt. Is there anything these kids can’t do!?

Keep A Child Alive was founded by Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz. The organisation provides care and support, including medicine, food and shelter, for families affected by HIV and AIDS in Africa and India.

Each of the ‘Buy Life’ t-shirt’s has a unique barcode on the front which can be scanned using several smart-phone applications.
The barcode then allows you to make donations to the charity or as they put it, ‘make the purchase of a LIFE-time.’ Pretty cool concept! And more importantly, for a good cause.

The campaign has been supported by Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian, Katie Holmes, Usher, Ryan Seacrest, Swizz Beatz, Jay Sean and now Willow and Jayden Smith; all shot wearing the Buy Life T-Shirts, along with Swizz Beatz and the then pregnant Alicia Keys. Check out the snaps in the gallery below.

Over the last century, the Little Black Dress, or LBD, has made its mark as the ultimate expression of chic, becoming a wardrobe staple for stylish women everywhere.
Now a major international initiative from Swarovski Elements brings added glamour to this fashion classic, while fund-raising for charity at the same time.

Last year, Swarovski Elements commissioned 22 of fashion’s best-known names and most talented newcomers to design a spectacular, one-off dress each, to be auctioned off in September 2010 in New York City.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the auction and sale of the catalogue will go to the American Cancer Society and La ligue nationale contre le cancer in France.

After a successful launch in Paris during couture week this January, the dazzling collection of show pieces went on public display at the city’s prestigious Palazzo Pozzo di Borgo. The exhibition then travelled to Beijing, where it was unveiled at an exclusive event on 8th April 2010.

The auction is now right around the corner. In 10 days time, on the 20th September, at the New York Gallery of Phillips de Pury & Company, all 22 dresses will be sold at auction to benefit the American Cancer Society and La ligue nationale contre le cancer in France.
