[VIDEO] Adele – BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Special by wearesme

Adele was given the privilege of taking over the Radio 1 airwaves for a full 30 minutes this afternoon, performing several tracks from the Maida Vale Live Lounge Studio including a brilliant cover of Cheryl Cole’s ‘Promise This’ (it’s actually a great song when a real singer gets their hands on it!)

Words can’t really sum up how good this Live Lounge was. It was certainly the best half hour of radio we’ve heard in a while.

Luckily, if you missed it, video footage has been made available by the lovely people at Radio 1. And the lovely people at SME are bringing it to you below. Sit back and enjoy Adele, and her stunning voice.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

[NEWS + VIDEO] Matt Cardle crowned winner of UK X Factor 2010 after receiving top votes every week! by wearesme

Matt Cardle emerged victorious this evening, piping Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction to the X Factor crown. It was also just revealed that Matt received the most votes EVERY WEEK in the lead up to the final! Incredible! Rebecca was a consistent second in weeks 5, 6, 8 and 9 and of course the final.

One Direction fell at the first hurdle after a brilliant performance of ‘Torn’ leaving Matt and Rebecca who performed to sing their respective ‘winners song’ and fight for those final votes. As SME revealed a few days ago, Matt performed the Biffy Clyro track ‘Many Of Horrors’ whilst Rebecca performed Duffy’s ‘Distant Dreamer’.

Although SME feel Rebecca’s final performance was better and more suited to the artist (and her stunning voice), Matt’s emotional performance and likeability clearly got him the votes. You can see both performances below:

Matt Cardle – Many Of Horrors (When We Collide)

Rebecca Ferguson – Distant Dreamer

As winner Matt’s version will be released as a single and become hot favourite to bag Christmas number one.

Let’s hope his career doesn’t follow the route of last years winner; Joe McElderry! And we wish Rebecca and One Direction the best of luck who will no doubt both go on to be credible and successful artists much like runners-up JLS and Olly Murs.

And before we leave you, a quick shout out to SME favourite Aiden. It was revealed that Louie and Simon had both predicted Aiden would win this year when asked at boot camp stage!

[VIDEO] Cheryl Cole’s ‘dad dance’ on stage with Cher Lloyd by wearesme

It’s the final of The X Factor this weekend and all of the finalists have been performing in their home towns in an attempt to boost votes.

Check out this footage of Cher Llloyds performance of Soulja Boy’s ‘Turn My Swag On’ (probably the only track she performs well) in which she pulls her mentor Cheryl Cole on stage.
For someone who’s performances contain some sick choreography, instead of turning her swag on Cheryl opts for embarrassing dad, or in this case mum, moves while on stage with Cher; how bizarre!

This week Channel 4 launched a new interactive campaign for its viewers. Visit theire websitetwist.channel4.com and use a selection of words to construct your own sentence, which is then delivered by a host of Channel 4 actors and presenters, such as: Gordon Ramsey, Cheryl Cole and Davina McCall.

This is the first campaign that Channel 4 have carried out in four years. The best of the created ‘twists’ will appear during promotional airtime on Channel 4 within the next few weeks.

After spending hours fiddling around with all of the words and constructed all sorts of sentences we decided that we should probably share.

[NEW MUSIC] Cheryl Cole teams up with Dizzee Rascal for ‘Everyone’! by mozzatron

Cheryl has pulled in another big act to feature on one of her tracks; this time its Dizzee Rascal who lends a sick verse to this new track ‘Everyone’.

This song is set to feature on Cheryl’s new album ‘Messy Little Raindrops’; out on 1st November 2010.

Not normally a fan of her music but we can’t deny that this has a sick beat and will no doubt be a big hit!
