Wretch and Examples new single Unorthodox is proving to be a popular track amongst DJ’s and producers, with a number of them jumping on the remix.

Here are 2 of the better attempts from Distance and Logistics. Distance’s dubstep version in particular impressed us, giving the original progressive kicks, snares and a lickle bit of bass. Logistics meanwhile, gives it a drum and bass makeover that gets you on your toes. Check out both remixes below.

Fresh from blowing the roof off at Brixton Academy on Saturday evening for the NME Awards Tour; Skream, Benga and Artwork popped in to see Trevor Nelson in the 1Xtra studios and were kind enough to give a live performance of their song ‘The Bug’, taken from their debut album Magnetic Man.

Below you can see footage of the performance; a fascinating insight, as they piece the song together as if it were a puzzle. Technology these days!

[NEWS] Chase & Status confirm collaboration with Drake by wearesme

Well this is interesting/exciting…In a recent interview with Ibiza Spotlight about their new album ‘No More Idols’, Saul Milton, one half of Chase & Status, confirmed rumours of a possible collaboration with Drake stating it is definitely in the works.

We’ve helped work on some of the tracks for her (Rita Orta) album although until the album actually comes out we won’t really know which tracks are actually on there. We’ll be collaborating with Drake too which is exciting as well and there are more that we want to work with which I won’t mention in the interview, just in case they get called off or whatever!

SME can’t wait to hear the fruits of their labour!

Read the full interview at Ibiza-Spotlight.
