[VIDEO] BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge – Ellie Goulding performs ‘Your Song’ and covers Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl’ by wearesme

Singer songwriter Ellie Goulding visited BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge at Maida Vale this week, to perform ‘Your Song’ and a cover of Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl’.

SME were really looking forward to hearing this but sadly missed the show on Radio 1 last night, but we’ve finally had the chance to listen to it and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

Ellie has a beautiful and distinctive voice and her take on ‘Only Girl’ is perfection. And apparently, Elton John really likes her version of ‘Your Song’ and gave her a shout out during a recent gig.

Sit back and enjoy.

David Haye TKO’s Fraudley Harrison in Round 3 by wearesme

First off, we’d like to empathise with those of you who forked out £15 of your hard earned and/or sacrificed a night out on the tiles to watch this fight.

Everyone knows that Audley Harrison is a walking talking joke, but even the most experienced pundits out there held the opinion that he might put up some sort of a fight; after all he is a gold medalist.

But that wasn’t the case and after an extremely uneventful first 2 rounds and having thrown next to no punches, Audley Harrison was knocked out and left 1 million pounds richer. Its a funny old world!

X Factor 13/11/10 – Best Of The Bunch by wearesme

And so Live Show number 6 came to an end last night with all the acts singing Elton John numbers; rather ironicly considering Elton slated the show only weeks ago.

Rebecca Ferguson – Candle In The Wind

Top of the class this week will come as no real surprise to anyone, she’s every teachers pet; Rebecca Ferguson. Once again making a classic song sound current with her beautiful and distinctive voice.

Predominantly associated with Princess Diana, Candle In The Wind was originally written in 1973, in honor of Marilyn Monroe, who had died 11 years earlier.
But in 1997 Elton John performed a remake of the song as a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales. This version of the song was released as a single and reached No. 1 in several countries world-wide.

One Direction – Something About The Way You Look Tonight

Stripped back with no stage performance, the boys were able to show off their vocals and harmonies on this song. Performed like a true boy band!

‘Something About The Way You Look Tonight’ was released as the first single from the album ‘The Big Picture’. Funnily enough, considering our favourite performance of the night, the single was released as a double A-side single with the 1997 version of ‘Candle in the Wind’, performed tonight by Rebecca.

Results at 8pm tonight (Sunday 14th) on ITV1.

[NEW MUSIC] Kanye West – All Of The Lights (feat Rihanna & EVERYONE!!) by wearesme

The beautiful track first heard on Kanye’s new film ‘Runaway’ has premiered and not only does it feature Rihanna; it also features the rest of the music world!

No joke, here’s the list: Rihanna, John Legend, The-Dream,Ryan Leslie, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie,Kid Cudi and Elton John. SME hope you remembered to breathe!

This track is groundbreaking. SME were so excited to hear this in full when first hearing it on the soundtrack of the brilliant ‘Runaway’ and it definitely hasn’t disappointed.

It just shows the respect that Kanye has within the industry; who else could pull in so many big names on 1 track? And only ‘Ye could orchestrate them so flawlessly.
