[VIDEO + SNAPS] Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kanye & co bring in 2011 in style @ Marquee, Las Vegas by wearesme

It was a night unlike any other the Vegas Strip has ever seen at the grand opening of Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on New Years Eve.

Acclaimed global superstar DJ Erick Morillo kicked off the night with a set in the club’s Main Room and led the countdown to 2011, while Interscope’s Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre got the party started in the club’s VIP room with DJ Ross One. After the Jay-Z and Coldplay private concert in the event center at The Cosmopolitan the celebrties decended en masse to the new mega club for a historic opening.

HOVA was joined by the likes of Kanye West, Flloyd Mayweather, P.Diddy and our very own Florence Welch.

Check out footage of Kanye and HOVA on the mic, and pictures from the night below. It looked incredible!

[REVIEW] SME meet Roll Deep & Florence Welch @ Streetfest October Jam 23/10/10 by wearesme

A cool venue (Brewery Building 33-35 Commercial Road) with three rooms, great DJ’s and live PA’s, live art taking place in real-time and all sponsored by Adidas; this promised to be an epic night, but sadly it was under-promoted and under-sold.

For once we missed the sweat box that is a warehouse rave!

SME still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had the pleasure of meeting the adorable Florence Welch (below).

There was also a live PA from grime artists Roll Deep including their new single ‘Team’, which you can check out footage of below:

We’re going to bring the entourage next time to fill it out a bit because this has potential to be one hell of a party.
