As SME mentioned earlier, Jamie xx dropped into Radio 6 Music on Sunday evening and took over the 6 Mix.

Unsurprisingly, he delivered a gem of a mix which features everything from his collaboration tracks with Gil Scott-Heron, 70’s Soul Tracks, UK Garage beats and Grime from the likes of Roll Deep.

You can listen to his crazy cool set below, courtesy of the wonderful iPlayer.

[VIDEO] Adele – BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Special by wearesme

Adele was given the privilege of taking over the Radio 1 airwaves for a full 30 minutes this afternoon, performing several tracks from the Maida Vale Live Lounge Studio including a brilliant cover of Cheryl Cole’s ‘Promise This’ (it’s actually a great song when a real singer gets their hands on it!)

Words can’t really sum up how good this Live Lounge was. It was certainly the best half hour of radio we’ve heard in a while.

Luckily, if you missed it, video footage has been made available by the lovely people at Radio 1. And the lovely people at SME are bringing it to you below. Sit back and enjoy Adele, and her stunning voice.

[LISTEN] Zane Lowe: Masterpieces 2010 on BBC Radio 1 – Jay-Z – The Black Album by wearesme

SME were delighted to hear the news that ‘The Black Album’ was being honoured on Zane Lowe’s ‘Masterpiece’ show for Radio 1 as it is up there with our all time favourite albums. And the show lived up to every expectation.

What is Zane Lowe’s Masterpieces?

From 22 – 25 November 2010, Zane’s Masterpieces returns for a fifth season to celebrate what Zane and his team consider to be some of the greatest albums ever made.

Over four consecutive days, Zane and a host of special guests will pay tribute to these incredible albums and play them out for you in full. This means zero interruptions, no censorship and no talking as the albums are played back exactly as they were meant to be heard, so you and listeners across the world can join together for a unique moment of shared music.

Tonight’s Masterpiece was the amazing ‘Black Album’ from the legend that is Jay-Z. Zane spoke to the man himself, plus Tinie Tempah, Big Boi, MIA and Linkin Park explained why they think the album is a classic. He then played the album in full, without interruption, as it was meant to be heard.

Lend Zane, Jay and SME your ears; you wont regret it.

The Black Album

The Black Album is the eighth studio album by American rapper Jay-Z, released November 14, 2003, on Roc-A-Fella Records. It was promoted as his final studio album, although Jay-Z returned to solo recording with Kingdom Come in 2006.

The album featured some big name producers in the shape of Eminem, Damon Dash, Just Blaze, The Neptunes, Timbaland and Kanye West who made a name for himself producing on HOVA’s earlier album ‘The Blueprint’.

The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 463,000 copies in its first week.

VIDEOS: Mumford & Sons and Friends – BBC RADIO 1 by wearesme

Video’s of this brilliant gig have now been released via the iPlayer on the BBC website. There’s footage from all of the acts (The Maccabees, Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling & Bombay Bicycle Club) including the finale collaborations.

Quite annoyingly they’ve cut off the brand new and untitled Maccabees song they ended their set on, but hopefully there will be a rip of that floating around the internet somewhere.
