[VIDEO] INFLUENCERS In-Depth Series with Steve Stoute by wearesme

The makers of the brilliant INFLUENCERS documentary are continuing the series through shorter episodes titled ‘INFLUENCERS In-depth”.

In case you don’t already know; INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends and creativity become contagious today in music, fashion and entertainment.

The first episode of this sub-series features Steve Stoute, Founder and CEO of Translation, a brand management firm that “arranges strategic partnerships with Pop Culture icons (Jay-Z, Gwen Stefani, Lebron James, Justin Timberlake & more) and Fortune 500 companies”. Stoute gives an interesting insight and discusses creating successful collaborations between Artists and Brands.

[SNAPS] Kim Kardashian is DEAD! by wearesme

Fans of Kim Kardashian and her derrière (yes they should be classified as separate entities!) can breathe a sigh of relief; Kim is very much alive and kicking, and looking stunning as ever. However, on Wednesday 1st December her Twitter and Facebook accounts will be 6 foot under.

Its all part of a new campaign called ‘Digital Life Sacrifice’ where a host of celebrities have agreed to sign off from all social media platforms on behalf of Alicia Keys’ charity Keep a Child Alive. The digital protest aims to raise money on World AIDS Day, with participants signing back on to their respective social networking profiles once the charity has raised $1 million.

Kim joins a whole host of celebs who have signed up for the cause including Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Justin Timberlake, Janelle Monáe, Swizz Beatz and Jay Sean.

What a brilliant idea! And lets hope they raise above and beyong the $1 million aim.

Way Back When…Mario – Let Me Love You by wearesme

Who remembers this classic slow jam? Way back in 2004, Mario returned to the music scene with a brand new hair cut and a brand new single ‘Let Me Love You’ taken from the album ‘Turning Point’.

It reached #1 in the U.S Chart and #2 in the U.K. The song, written by Ne-Yo, is listed at #45 on Billboard’s All-Time Top 100 Hot Singles during the first 50 years of the chart and was the 8th most successful single of the decade according to the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. Impressive!

[2004] Way Back When:

  • (February 4th) Facebook was founded at Cambridge, Massachusetts.
  • Arsenal completed a whole English Premiership season unbeaten, 38 games.
  • Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake performed onstage at Super Bowl XXXVIII and the performance ended with her left breast being expose by Justin. The phrase “wardrobe malfunction” was coined due to the controversy.
