Another day and another big mix from the man of the moment; Jamie xx. Everything this guy touches turns to gold. He even manages to sample the Countdown theme tune in a grime mix without looking like a complete twat! How is this possible, you ask? Some say he is half mortal, half badman.

Listen to his grimey mix from Mistajams Radio 1Xtra show on Tuesday night, with the Countdown theme in all it’s glory, below.

[NEW MUSIC] Jamie Woon – Lady Luck by wearesme

Receiving its world premiere on Radio 1 last night courtesy of Mistajam; Lady Luck is Jamie Woon’s next single taken from his highly anticipated debut album Mirrorwriting released in April.

Jamie is the latest artist to adopt the format of releasing a song for digital download immediately after the songs first radio airing.

The song is a nother beautiful piece of work from this supremely talented guy; a real soulful number. SME can’t wait to hear what other gems the album has to offer.

Listen to it below and head over to iTunes to download.

[LISTEN] P Money Live in Session with Mistajam on Radio 1Xtra by wearesme

P Money is hot property right now. He continues to show he is one of the biggest upcoming talents on the UK scene right now (despite being around for a while) and 2011 promises big things for him; helped by the incredible underground success of ‘Ho Riddim’ last year and his sick track ‘Family’ on the recently released Ed Sheeran EP ‘No.5 Collaboration Project’.

Mistajam is a big fan of P Money and invited him down to his show for a chat and a sick live performance in the Maida Vale studio. Listen to the show below (P Money comes in from 1:00):

As many of you will know following our review, J.Cole was in London recently supporting Drake on tour and while here he popped into Radio 1Xtra to see Mistajam and blessed him with a live performance in the Maida Vale studio

Watch J.Cole kill it once more with renditions of ‘Who Dat’ and ‘In The Morning’. Our love for J.Cole only grows; we love the character he brings with his bars in this session.

[NEW MUSIC] Flux Pavilion – Lines in Wax EP by mozzatron

Lines In Wax is the highly anticipated debut EP on Circus from U.K dubstep producer Flux Pavillion.

Flux, real name Joshua Steele, has also released drum & bass tracks under this and other names, but he refers to his dubstep releases as “the darker side of Flux Pavilion”.

The EP was released on Monday and SME have since given it a good listen and it blew us away. All 4 tracks are epic and you can’t help but nod your head to every one. It made us want to go out and skank!

Listen to our 2 favourite tracks below.

‘Lines In Wax’ features U.K Hip-Hop/Grime artists Foreign Beggers and has been championed by Mistajam on his Radio 1 show for some time. A nice blend of genre’s; sick bars over a bass fuelled mix.

‘I Can’t Stop’ was first played out on Zane Lowe’s show in his ‘Hottest Record In The World’ segment. For us it’s the best track on the EP; great productions.

Go buy it, trust! x
