An 11 minute grime track from 1 artist has got the whole scene up in raptures tonight, after it was aired for the first time by Logan on his Kiss 100 show. The name on every one’s lips is Durrty Goodz.

Has he called for the whole scene? Who cares? This track is a madness! He switches the flow up so many times it will have you questioning if this really is a battle as the title would suggest; Battle Hype. Listen out for some of the familiar flows he mimics.

Props to HypeFrank

[VIDEO] Jessie J makes US TV debut performing on SNL by wearesme

Last night, the UK’s very own Jessie J made her US television debut, performing on the infamous Saturday Night Live show.

Jessie performed Mamma Knows Best and was later joined on stage by B.O.B. for a performance of Price Tag; both taken from her debut album Who You Are.

“I think it’s probably even more special for a British artist because we’re British. I know Adele’s done it recently and I’m so proud of her and Tinie Tempah’s blowing up here. I just feel like the British movement is coming, like U.K stand up, and I’m flying the flag. To be able to do something like ‘Saturday Night Live’ is part of history.” Jessie told MTV News.

Check out both performances below.

“Life a movie, I’m Lucas / I war with any star; can’t put me in a box like new kicks”

Sway came with FIRE at the Lupe Fiasco Lasers release show in New York and had the crowd in the palm of his hand, with this captivating freestyle.

Despite lack of any ‘overground’ recognition in the UK, Sway continues to come with consistent material and his feature on Lupe Fiasco’s new album is a massive achievement for the boy from our neck of the woods; North London. Could 2011 finally be his year? SME hope so.

[LISTEN] Kanye West Cypher with Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def and Robert Glasper @ Blue Note, NYC by wearesme

“And all this illuminati talk / Like my first hit single wasn’t Jesus walks”

Last night, Jazz pianist Robert Glasper and his band The Robert Glasper Experiment performed with Lupe Fiasco at the Blue Note Jazz Cafe in New York. As it was the last of 4 shows, Lupe brought with him a few friends in the form of Kanye West and Mos Def.

All this talent under one room prompted a 30 minute Cypher, in which 3 of Hip-Hop’s finest lyricists took to the mic spitting bars both old and new. Kanye, as ever, was the talking point; addressing some of the controversy that has plagued his career of late.

You can listen to his Cypher below and download the full 30 minute session, should that not leave you satisfied.
