[VIDEO] P Diddy on stage with Skepta, Chipmunk, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder @ Diddy Dirty Money – Last Train To Paris listening party by wearesme

Last night was a MASSIVE night for the music scene in London. Not only was Nicki Minaj in town causing havoc at Oceana and Runway but P Diddy was hosting parties left right and centre as only he knows how.

At Le Pigalle club Diddy hosted a listening party for his upcoming Diddy Dirty Money album titled ‘Last Train To Paris’. Some of UK Grimes biggest artists were in attendance, all of which joined him on stage to skank out and perform some of their tracks.

Watch Diddy on stage joined by Skepta, Chipmunk, Wretch 32 & Tinchy Stryder below.

This is a massive look for UK music. The more exposure the better and who better to help them than the daddy, Diddy.

[SME MEETS] Dynamo *Exclusive Interview* by wearesme

Dynamo is arguably the best close-up magician around, having performed to some of the biggest stars in the world. He has performed for the likes of Tinie Tempah, Paris Hilton, Example, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg and of course SME!

Dynamo, born Steve Frayne, grew up on Bradford’s Delph Hill Estate, one of the most violent and deprived estates in the north of England. He first learned magic from his grandfather and developed it during trips to New Orleans.

As word spread about his magic tricks he soon found himself performing on the celebrity circuit for stars like Paris Hilton and Busta Rhymes. He released an independent DVD called ‘Underground Magic’ featuring celebrities such as Coldplay, Gwenyth Paltrow and Snoop Dogg. The DVD generated considerable press in the UK and lead to appearances on shows such as Richard & Judy and a Channel 4 special ‘Dynamo’s Estate Of Mind’.

He followed up ‘Underground Magic’ with the release of the DVD called ‘Concrete Playground’ and his popularity only continues to grow. Most recently Dynamo worked with Panasonic on a promotional campaign for the TA1 Camera, which saw him performing for a host of musicians and DJ’s; all of which he documented using the Panasonic camera.

This week SME were delighted to have the chance to sit down and have a bit of a chat with Dynamo about the year gone by, the year ahead and his taste in music.

[VIDEO] Drake brings out Florence Welch @ HMV Hammersmith Apollo gig (08/01/11) by wearesme

Those in London; if you look out of your nearest window you will see a green tint in the sky, beamed from our envious eyes after seeing this footage!

On Saturday night, Drake brought out none other than SME favourite Florence Welch to perform the massive track ‘Fireworks’. Check out footage from the performance below.

[VIDEO] Cheryl Cole’s ‘dad dance’ on stage with Cher Lloyd by wearesme

It’s the final of The X Factor this weekend and all of the finalists have been performing in their home towns in an attempt to boost votes.

Check out this footage of Cher Llloyds performance of Soulja Boy’s ‘Turn My Swag On’ (probably the only track she performs well) in which she pulls her mentor Cheryl Cole on stage.
For someone who’s performances contain some sick choreography, instead of turning her swag on Cheryl opts for embarrassing dad, or in this case mum, moves while on stage with Cher; how bizarre!

J. Cole was performing in Toronto last night and it looks like he knocked on Drake’s door to invite him along. Drake duly accepted and took to the stage with Cole to perform their big tune ‘In The Morning’ taken from J. Cole’s new mixtape ‘Friday Night Lights’.

To those attending Drakes tour here in London in January; tell us your not hyped after watching that! SME can’t wait!

[VIDEO] Tinchy Stryder & Co – Game Over Live @ T4 Stars Of 2010 by wearesme

If you missed this performance on the weekend, fear not; you can always rely on the power of YouTube.

SME love the set up here, they’ve put a lot of thought into the performance when it would have been a lot easier to just rock up on stage. And the lighting is a madness; epileptics look away now.

*sorry about quality, its the best video out there!*

We should also appreciate how much of a success this is for grime. Who would have thought that a grime song would have been performed on a T4 show this year?
