Chipmunk just dropped the new video for his song with Chris Brown ‘Champion’. The pair finished shooting a few weeks ago.

The video is shot in monochrome and features Chris Brown going in impressively on a new rapped verse, in which he addresses his struggle with his domestic violence case. Oh and it also features another helicopter! (see ‘Last One Standing’)

Vodpod videos no longer available.

SME have got big respect for Chip and a new-found respect for Brown. Even the haters can’t argue that Chip is going places and with it, his work has been consistent. After all, you don’t make money from F64’s….

[NEWS] Drake talks about being dropped from Kanye’s ‘All Of The Lights’ by wearesme

It was recently revealed that Drake recorded a verse for the ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ track All Of Lights, however as most of you will have now heard, the grammy nominated Drizzy didn’t make the final cut.

Speaking to Shade 45 radio in the US, Drake was pulled up on the subject and had this to say:

“Kanye’s creative process is ever-changing. We make music differently. I make what comes to me and I hate changing it, whereas ‘Ye will change something 30 or 40 times to get it perfect. To each their own, and the change was to put all those people on it, and I wasn’t one of them. That’s completely okay.”

“I can never sit here and tell you that’s not one of my idols, that’s not one of my favorite rappers,”

“Whatever energy I’ve ever felt is irrelevant. When you ask me, ‘What do I think of Kanye West,’ I’ma always have something positive to say.”

“I feel like we can co-exist,” responded Drake, when asked about whether the energy level is not always where he wants to be. “I feel like Hip Hop is broad enough that we can both exist and give great music without feeling like it’s one or the other. I might be the only one that feels that way, though.”

Ye could quite easily have left Drake on there and sold a few more records but that’s not how he works. No one but Kanye will know why he took him off. but it was no doubt for creative reasons and we’d never question a genius!

Who remembers this groundbreaking grime track from 2005? How could you forget it? Even if it was as a result of receiving a stray elbow to your face when caught up on the dance floor at a club when the DJ dropped this…

Well, those days are soon to return with Pow 2011 (from the title we’re assuming it will be released next year). Yes you heard right. Lethal B has gathered a group of the U.K’s top grime artist to drop a new version of this anthem. Confirmed features on the track so far are Wiley, Chipmunk and Kano.

Wiley tweeted the idea months ago and it looks like he made waves with Lethal B announcing on Twitter this evening the track is almost done and will be aired on radio next week.

And if that wasnt enough, Lethal B also posted a video in an attempt to reaffirm his excitement. We’re not convinced he’s a very happy bunny…Let us know what you think!

As soon as this drops SME will have it for you, so keep your eyes peeled!

POW! x
