We Are S.M.E

[SME INTRODUCING] Run Jack Run by wearesme

Left to Right: Maz, Skip, Scout

Who? Run Jack Run is a 3 man band made up of two brothers: Skip & Scout (Singers & Professional Actors) and Maz (Producer/DJ). All music is written, produced, performed, mixed & mastered by RJR.

Yard? North London

Signed? It’s only a matter of time

Sounds Like? Grindie

Big Tune? Howl

Not only are SME proud to call these talented chaps our friends, but we also have the pleasure of hearing the amazing results of their new project Run Jack Run and bringing it to the entourage first.

We’ve been waiting patiently for some time as the boys worked hard on this project; desperate to hear the fruits of their labour. But being the perfectionists that they are, we knew it was going to be worth the wait and they certainly didn’t disappoint, going live today with their new website and material.

Below is their debut music video titled Howl, shot and directed by Rohan Blair-Mangat. Atmospheric, artistic, inspirational. And that’s just the video. The song draws on different emotions through Skip & Scout’s contrasting styles over Maz’s productions.

And as if that wasn’t enough, below are some more snippets of what’s to come from the band:

[SNAPS] Kelly Brook poses nude for SME! by wearesme

We are pleased to announce that through a combination of charm and blackmail, we have convinced Kelly Brook to bare all in the name of SME! Happy belated Valentine’s Day to the entourage!

Ok; we may be telling a porky or two. She has posed nude, however it was for Exhibition Magazine. In an incredibly revealing photo shoot, Kelly is snapped completely naked covered in red lipstick with some pictures reminiscent of an erotic horror scene.

We’re not a smutty website, so for the uncensored pics, head over to www.hollymoly.com.*

*Cue chorus of jaws hitting floor. SME know ours did!*

[VIDEO & FREE DOWNLOAD] The Streets take over Guardian Blog & release final song ‘Close The Book’ by wearesme

Depending on whether you see the glass as half empty or half full; today will either be a great day or a very sad one for you. And before this becomes a counselling session; we’re only referring to The Streets fans!

Today marks the release of The Streets last ever album ‘Computers and Blues’ (preview it in full HERE). Mike Skinner has officially retired from The Streets.

To celebrate this fact, Mike has been invited to take over The Guardian’s music blog for the whole week. Today he released a video telling us what we can expect in the coming week, along with announcing a new song that will probably be the last ever track from The Streets. He had planned to include the track titled Close The Book at the end of ‘Computers and Blues’, however having thought about it he “realised it would be shit”. His words, not ours!

In the video, he also declares that Ghostpoet is currently his favourite MC alongside Drake; an incredible seal of approval for SME’s latest interviewee! (Read our exclusive interview here)

Check out both the video and the new track below:

[NEWS & VIDEO] 50 Cent Calls Hot 97 and Calls out Q from WorldStarHipHop (WSHH) by wearesme

Twitter and the internet erupted this evening with news that the popular website World Star Hip Hop site was shut down. Shortly after, 50 Cent took to his Twitter account to say that he was responsible!

A lot of confusion followed but it appeared to have been all cleared up after both 50 Cent and the CEO of WSHH made a call to Angie Martinez of Hot 97.

50 told Angie that he was just messing around, however he did file a lawsuit with World Star Hip Hop as they used an image of his on their homepage for 2 years without his consent but he was not personally responsible for shutting them down. You can listen to the interview below:

Q, the CEO of World Star Hip Hop immediately picked up the phone to explain why WSHH went down and give his response to the comments from 50 cent. Hear what he had to say below:

Q, who mumbled his way through the interview, said that WSHH was having technical problems and the server was down, however, it has since emerged that ‘Ishatonu’, who has a popular YouTube Channel, received an email from Yahoo shortly after the site went down confirming they had “taken appropriate action” following a copyright infringement of some kind.

So, it still remains unclear as to what the real reason for them shutting down was. However if anything, it has provided some light entertainment for the evening! None more so than from 50 Cent who just released video footage of a conversation he had with the CEO of WSHH off air.

It’s safe to say that he isn’t a happy bunny and you don’t want to f*ck with 50!
